Lok Sao: Rolling Hands
One of the traditional drills that Kamon teaches is Lok Sao or Rolling Hands. This drill builds hand speed and reflexes and is easily learnt by new students. In this video, instructor James Horgan does Lok Sao with a student.
Actor, Voice-over man and senior Kamon student
Karl has worked extensively in all areas of the entertainment world. Through stage, the small and big screens, as well as newer areas, such as voiceover and animation. Appearing many times on TV, in some of the best known dramas, such as The Bill, Dream Team, The Knock, London’s Burning,Eastenders and Inspector Morse. At the other end of the scale, he spent two and a half years on Noels House Party, as part of the Gotcha squad, Comedy Specials like Surprising Stars, and sitcoms Dad, Only Fools and Horses and Orrible.Recently, Karl has provided narration for Im a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Rough Trades and Call Me A Cabbie, on ITV1. He created the character of Monroe on the Sony playstation game of The Getaway-Black Monday. This is involved spending hour after hour dressed in Black Lycra for the benefit of Motion Capture – or so he says!Many times Karl has been involved in dramatic fight scenes, working closely with stunt co-ordinators. In the Siu Nim Tao and Beyond video, Master Chan performs Siu Nim Tao, and explains the usage, meaning and subtleties of the form. In an exciting finale, Master Chan shows Wing Chun being used in full force examples, that demonstrate the devastating effects of Wing Chun in the hands of a competent exponent. Copa Luiz Carlos Guedes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
Kamon sponsored the 2001 Copa Luiz Carlos Guedes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament in London. Here Master Kevin Chan is pictured Chen Moraes from Anaconda Jiu-Jitsu who organised the event, and below that with with the reigning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, Fabrizio Wergun who refereed and competed in the event.

Wall Bag Training
Senior Instructor and Webmaster Sihing Bill Bostock demonstrates Lin Wan Kuen (centre line punches) to a wall bag. Practised by the student at home, repetitive punching to a wall bag filled with rice or dried peas hardens the knuckles and enables the student to get used to the impact of hitting a target with full force.

For senior students testing their techniques under pressure is very important to give confidence in their skills. Full body armour is worn for protection.
Realistic Training
Senior students and Instructors also practise their ground fighting skills, in realistic scenarios wearing protective equipment. Using Wing Chun principles becomes even more important should a fight go to the ground.

Croydon
Croydon students James Horgan, Mike Abel and John Hurworth look suitably pleased with themselves after successfully achieving their Black Sash in a grading that took place on 29th November 2003. They have been training with Kamon for 6 years. They are pictured here after the grading with Master Chan.
Bristol
Bristol students Matthew Rowles (far left) and Chris Lunn (far right) can barely contain their joy at having been awarded the coveted Black Sash in Bristol on December 15th, 2004. They are pictured here with their instructor, Wayne Bradbury (centre left) and Master Chan (centre right). Both Matt and Chris have been training with Kamon for seven years.

It's a family affair for Basingstoke students Steve Ng and sons Ryan (left) and Dominic (right) and Steve's sister Yeng also pictured with the boys. All four are dedicated students and recently achieved high marks in their Yellow 1 & 2 grading in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth
December 10/11 2005: Three Kamon students passed their Black 1 Grading this weekend. From Portsmouth, Alberto Kavadellas and Jacqueline Reeder (shown to the left with Master Chan) and from Croydon, Michael Chan (Shown here receiving his black Sash from master Chan). After a combined total of 27 years of hard training with Master Chan, we are sure they deserved their coveted black sashes.
February 22 2006: Kamon Bristol student James Brown passed his Black 1 Grading. After just less than nine years dedicated training under the guidance of Wayne Bradbury, James passed his grading, having been examined by Master Kevin Chan. James is the longest running Bristol student who started training in the very first Bristol class in May of 1997. This year James will be moving to Australia. Congratulations for passing and good luck to James in his new adventure.
Muswell Hill, Windsor & Woking instructor Grant Ford passed his Black 1 Grading on Saturday, 13th October 2007 in Portsmouth. Grant has been with Kamon for nearly 6 years and a regular training partner of Si-fu, accompanying him on a recent trip to Hong Kong
