"Kevin Chan is an awesome Martial Artist. A true pioneer who understands Wing Chun traditions and also understands how styles have to evolve to survive."

"Since a teenager I have flitted around various martial arts like Karate, Aikido, Boxing, Wing Chun and Reality Based Systems. Nothing, and no one has motivated me and got the best out of me like Kevin Chan.
He is the gold standard that all other Martials Artists Master, pioneers and teachers should be judged by. I love training with him and move everything I have to so I never miss a lesson with him.
Kevin Chan is an awesome Martial Artist. A true pioneer who understands Wing Chun traditions and also understands how styles have to evolve to survive.
I have trained with some good martial artists and Kevin is a truly great martial arts teacher. A modern day master of his art. Truly exceptional skills and the most inspirational tutor I have ever met. He will get the best out of you and you will enjoy the experience too as he is a very humble guy with a great sense of humour.
Kevin style is all about cutting the crap and making sure you learn a style and system that works for you. He takes the time to make sure you understand how all the techniques work and why and checks constantly they are working for you. Helping you reach your truest potential.
He is this countrys best kept secret and to be honest I hope he stays that way for a little while longer as he may not have time for my lessons, though I doubt it."

"I've been doing Wing Chun for two years and my confidence has increased enormously."

"Kamon Wing Chun classes prepare you both mentally and physically to take care of yourself, so walking alone at night feels much safer. But it's not just about self-defence. I was quite fit before, but Kamon Wing Chun has really improved my stamina and strength. I'm also less likely to panic under pressure at work."

Tae Kwon Do 2nd Dan & Kamon student in Portsmouth.

Darren O’Callaghan

"In November 1999 I stumbled upon Sifu Kevin Chan and Kamon Wing Chun. In them I found an art and a teacher who constantly surprises and inspires me."

"I have been involved in martial arts for more than 11 years. When I was young I studied Shotokan Karate and then in 1990 I began WTF Taekwondo taking my 2nd Dan in 1995. I was heavily into competition fighting for some time and after some reasonably good results at national level and some useful experience in international competition I found myself teaching and spending more and more time analysing and supplementing my skills.
I have great respect for most martial arts but found gaps wherever I looked depending on whether a school had become sport or traditionally orientated.
In November 1999 I stumbled upon Sifu Kevin Chan and Kamon Wing Chun. In them I found an art and a teacher who constantly surprises and inspires me. Sifu Kevin Chan is willing to strip apart Wing Chun and challenge his ideas to ensure that what Kamon offers is progressive and effective. Whether you are new to martial arts, already competent or just looking to get fit Kamon can help.
From a born cynic."

Paul Allen

Enhancing existing martial arts skills with Kamon Wing Chun

Paul Allen

I like the approach that Kamon has. It is a sharp, progressive and no nonsense style of Wing Chun

Like many martial artists I touched on several styles before finally sticking to one that I would make my own. For me it was Ju Jitsu. I began in 1989 with the World Jiu Jitsu Association headed up by Robert Clarke. My club switched to Ronin Yudansha Ryu in 1991 where we have remained ever since. Never one for rushing up the grades ladder I gained my first dan in 1997 and my second dan in 2005. Both grades were awarded by John Steadman Chief instructor to the British Ju Jitsu Association, a genuine master of his style.
I have and continue to train in other martial arts including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tai Chi and Wing Chun.
Each to their own, but I like the approach that Kamon has. It is a sharp, progressive and no nonsense style of Wing Chun.
